PC Giveaway Update

Free Subscribers are Now Eligible

When I started this newsletter, I wanted it to be a source of income. I prefer to be transparent with you all. I thought that if I only charged $5 to enter, it would be a low barrier and also give people a chance to win a PC. Enough people sign up, it would be a great way to give PC’s away but also provide a good side income for me.

However, I’ve come to realize that I don’t want there to be any monetary barrier that could prevent people from winning. I know I know, if I don’t charge anything to win the PC, everyone will switch over to the free version instead of the paid version. Yeah, maybe. But I made the decision early on that this channel is about bringing light to older/budget pc tech and giving pc’s away.

The new forms of entry include being subscribed to the paid version for 1 month. Or you can be subscribed to the free version for at least 4 months and have left one comment on any one of the newsletters.

You guys are a great community and I’m honored to be able to give back.

I Might Have a PC Giveaway Problem

I had a chance to meet the last Newsletter PC Giveaway winner. You’ll get to meet him in this video. We are also going to take a trip down memory lane of the PC’s I’ve been able to give away so far.

I will show you highlights of each of the past experiences. Giving a pc away at christmas. Holding an axe throwing contest and the winner got a pc. Tricking my brother into reviewing a pc that actually ended up being his birthday gift. And finally hearing the story behind the first Newsletter winner.

They Gave Me A PC For Free: How Does it Run?

This one is going to be kind of a surprise. But I had someone very generously donate me many parts of a pc. Let’s test it out and see how it runs!

Testing the 3080 on popular free games

I made a tiny error on my end and no longer own the 3080. Don’t worry, it ended up in good hands. This 3080 actually has been one of my favorite, potentially the favorite card I’ve ever had the pleasure to use.

If you are curious about its performance I did test it on the most demanding games, I do have that video out.

That’s it for this newsletter.

I hope you are enjoying your day and that this brought you some entertainment and potentially joy.

Remember, I do have a paid version of this where I will be biannually drawing a paid subscriber to give away a free pc to.

It would greatly help support the channel, it’s $5 a month and will go towards new tech, keeping the lights on, future growth, and of course building new pcs to give away!
